Andrea Taeggi (Bergamo, Italy, b. 1982) has received a jazz and classical music education.
He’s a graduate from the Amsterdam Conservatoire, where he majored in jazz piano and completed an electronic music program in 2010.
Andrea was one of the six semi-finalists of the Europe famous YPF 2009 contest, after being selected among dozens of young musicians; on that occasion he had the chance to perform at the Bimhuis of Amsterdam.
He has been teaching piano for 15 years now, both in the public and private sector.
Beside his acoustic music practice, he works in the field of electronic and electro-acoustic music, both as a composer and a live performer.
As a jazz pianist, he is featured on a CD distributed by Challenge Records (YPF – live at Bimhuis).
As an electronic music producer, he’s featured in numerous releases and has performed in Europe, the US, Canada, Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Japan and South Korea.
