In these most concerning pandemic times we’re happy to announce, that with the help of modern technology we’ve been able to make the IMS Violin Competition 2020 happen despite the overall shutdown.
34 participants from 9 countries have submitted their contributions to the competition via video and challenged our jury with their excellent niveau of performing. The decisions were indeed difficult to make. Some participants were even so courageous as to perform solo without piano accompaniment.
Our biggest thanks and respect goes out to all of the young artists
for their contributions and also to our wonderful jury:
Zoya Nevgodovska, Michiko Feuerlein and Nicolas Dautricourt.
We hope to organize a concert with our awardees in fall 2020.
